ARABO TAKES HUGE FUNDRAISING LEAD IN RACE FOR THE 78TH
DEMOCRATIC ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE AUDAY ARABO REPORTS RAISING ALMOST $400,000 IN OPEN SEAT

San Diego, California – Auday Arabo, leading Democratic candidate for the 78th Assembly race, has raised $387,554 in total contributions as of the June 30th financial reporting deadline. This is one of the largest total amounts raised by an unelected official in recent history.

Perhaps even more astounding is that over 90% of Arabo's fundraising comes from local support from individuals throughout San Diego County, a true indication that the constituents of the district are behind Arabo for Assembly.

"I am deeply gratified by the amount of support I have received among the residents of San Diego County," states Arabo. "It has been my dream to represent the people of the 78th district in Sacramento and I look forward to a spirited campaign debating the issues that matter most to the residents of this district."

A former criminal prosecutor with the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, Arabo currently serves as President and CEO of the Neighborhood Market Association—the largest independent grocers association on the West Coast. Arabo understands the need for a safe community, free of gangs, where businesses and community organizations can thrive. He will work hard to improve education and health care and will fight for more police officers, after school programs, and job training to keep our kids safe.

"I am proud to endorse Auday Arabo. The Democratic Party and the 78th assembly district will only benefit from his inspiring leadership and his drive to improve the quality of life for all. I can't wait for the day that Auday Arabo is in Sacramento fighting for us," states Patty Davis, former Chula Vista City Council Member and former Democratic nominee for the 78th Assembly district.
